PeopleFund is a non profit organization "PeopleFund is a non-profit dedicated to creating economic opportunity." This weekend they held their Conference on Economic Opportunity - more can be found at their website.
This project is located in East Austin near the MLK rail stop. The developers of the site have planned to eventually incorporate mixed use occupancy as well as two other non profits, Austin Children's Museum and Sustainable Foods. I have been on this project from the schematic design phase, design development, construction documents and now into construction administration. Its a small 2 story facility, 10,000 SF, hope to attain LEED silver certification and it is to be completed by the end of summer 2010.
The rendering is from the SW corner looking NE, Clark Keitel from our St. Louis office does most of our watercolor renders for using as marketing for the client as well as showing clients an idea of the finished building. I'd like to model in sketchup and illustrate to give a different method of review for marketing. Give me ideas!!
Hope to keep the blog updated as we enter and continue through construction!
