the books and the adventure to santa fe inspired these little babies ... kiva inspired, southwest, architectural sections ... light, sun, thinking smaller, differently, of hills and open air ... clean, simple, drawn...

I really enjoy the quality of cavern and interior that you are inspired by. Out here in SF, it is more difficult to remind oneself of that typology of structure. Nice to see you using mass, topography, and void! The sketches have a nice quality of design using more earthen fabrication: adobe, mud, straw bales, etc. It might be nice to see some color massing around / in the sketches to see the following relationships: sky, ground, interior, shadow, moisture / dampness...
